(2.2.6)Strangeerrorifcontroluserisinvalid

If the MySQL server refuses the controluser login I
get a huge set of "Undefined variable" errors
followed by header errors.
The whole mess starts with:

Notice: Undefined variable: cfgOBGzip in [PMA dir]
\header.inc.php3 on line 10

with v2.2.7-dev or

Notice: Undefined variable: cfg in [PMA dir]
\header.inc.php3 on line 10

with 2.3.0-dev

I'm currently looking for the piece of code that
causes all the trouble but I haven't succeeded yet...
