I leave no trace of wings in the air, but I am glad I have had my flight.
--Rbindranath Tagore 《Flying fire》
We always struggle to grasp something, but usually, nothing will stay at all. Money will never come when you stop paying; Love will never come when you stop giving; Mutual understanding will never come when you stop
sharing. We come to birth with fist held tightly, as if showing the world we will grasp everything. When we grow up, desires will occupy our minds very often, we need apartment, love, grades, degree from world-class
universities, luxuries, reputations, etc. We are not the immortal, so of course, we cannot get rid of those desires. Sometimes the chase of those is not up to you, but up to the people around you. Like here in Shanghai,
every normal family will save money to buy apartment with astronomical price, especially for those with unmarried boy.
Life is about experience.
Reality is reality, maybe we still have to chase reality. But anyway, life is about experience. We cannot
always take short path. Then reason we live is because we have to experience. Do not let vanity and lies take
away your sincerity. Your feeling is priceless,it will be true no matter with or without money.
Failure, disappointment, frustrations make up life.
Sense of failure, disappointment, frustrations always makes up our life. J.K. Rowling, well-known for her Harry Porter, make the commencement speech about failure in Harvard. That speech is touching, not because she is
a world-class famous guy, or she made a speech in Harvard. It is the big contrast between the glory of world-class ivy-league school and the simple but sincere topic about failure -- which everyone would live with in their
whole life.
That is to say, we are all same, success is life, while failure is also life.
Three stages by Karl Marx
In the theory of Communism, Marx defined 3 stages of man.
First stage,Rely on people: For a child, they always rely on parents for everything.
Second stage, Rely on material. When a person grows up, he/she could live independently. Then they might rely on material, like money, luxuries, etc. sometimes materials will drive you crazy, drive you selfish. But usually, people will struggle to live.
Third stage, Rely on interest. When a person gets old, maybe he/she has saved enough money, then of course they could enjoy life. They could do whatever they like, all according to their own likes or dislikes.
The world is always changeable and with challenges. To be or not to be, is a question. We are passer-bys to the world. Most of us will never leave something in hundred years after you die. Why not seize the day, be yourself,
and carpe diem ? At least, we has come by.
