Windows 2003 Enterprise, IIS 6.0, PHP 5.0.2, MySQL
4.1.7-nt
I'm getting sporadic crashes of mysql when I use
phpmyadmin. I believe the key to the bug is that the
crash only occurs when I launch phpmyadmin for the
first time -- once I'm in, I never get the crash later.
This only happens with phpmyadmin. It does not
happen with any of several other php/mysql packages I
use on the same server.
IIS and PHP remain up and running, it is only mysql
that crashes.
Restarting mysql and refreshing the browser with
phpmyadmin fixes the problem, though sometimes I
have to restart mysql more than once.
It doesn't happen every time, but I'd say it happens
about 70% of the time. Can't reliably reproduce it, but it
happens over and over.
From the event log --
The MySQL service terminated unexpectedly. It has
done this 38 time(s).
